Projekat STEAM+ (STEAM Skills Development in Early Childhood Education and Care in Europe)

The overall objective of the STEAM+ 2020 project is to improve children’s education by creating an innovative approach that integrates the academic knowledge in the field of STEAM skills with the ECEC practices in order to develop the creative and critical thinking skills of the future citizens of the EU. STEAM is a term that has aroused global interest in recent years from the perspective of education and workforce and it present acronym for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. Creativity and innovation in pre-school education are recognized as important in European education policy, as well as the professional development of teachers, their improvement and strengthening is one of the strategic goals within the EU for education and training 2020. Also, the current COVID-19 crisis has greatly accelerated the need for modernization and digital transformation of education and training systems across Europe.

Projekat STEAM+ (STEAM Skills Development in Early Childhood Education and Care in Europe) ima za cilj unaprijediti obrazovanje djece stvaranjem inovativnog pristupa koji integrira akademsko znanje iz STEAM oblasti sa praksama zemalja članica Evropske unije, s ciljem razvoja kreativnih vještina i kritičkog razmišljanja budućih građana Evropske unije. STEAM je izraz koji je posljednjih godina izazvao globalni interes iz perspektive obrazovanja i radne snage i predstavlja međusobno povezan akronim nauke, tehnologije, inženjerstva, umjetnosti i matematike. Kreativnost i inovativnost u predškolskom obrazovanju prepoznati su kao značajni u evropskoj obrazovnoj politici, jednako kao i profesionalni razvoj nastavnika, njihovo unaprijeđenije i jačanje je jedan od strateški ciljeva u okviru EU za obrazovanje i obuku 2020. Također, aktuelna kriza COVID-19 je uvelike ubrzala potrebu za modernizacijom i digitalnom transformacijom sistema obrazovanja i obuke širom Evrope.
